This programme is designed to ensure students are able to apply the taught content to their subject specific area, students will develop their knowledge in relation to cardiac device and rhythm management focusing in cardiac rhythm disorders, diagnosis and treatment. You will be developing knowledge in bradycardia devices, heart failure devices, cardiac defibrillators, electrophysiology studies, and pharmacology utilised to treat brady and tachy arrhythmias. Knowledge developed can then be applied to your own subject specific area.
Students will develop the skills required to critically analyse the impact of implantable cardiac devices across a service users lifespan, and the possible changes in device indication over this time. You will develop skills and knowledge to evaluate individual management plans for service users with various implantable cardiac devices, and the skills required to provide advanced practice within your own professional boundaries and professional bodies guidance, to enable you to work at an advanced level within your scope of practice and recognise the importance of lifelong learning and continuing professional development.
