Programme specification

Leeds is the second centre of banking in the UK - there are over 30 national and international banks here employing 12,700 people. Leeds University Business School is also home to two widely respected research centres, the Institute of Banking and Investment and the Credit Management Research Centre. Taken together, this means that students on the BSc Banking and Finance programme have a unique opportunity to work with highly qualified teaching staff in one of the most student friendly cities in the UK with great graduate and placement opportunities literally on their doorstep.

The programme will produce graduates who are:

- Technically competent in the discipline and well prepared for a successful career in banking and finance;

Students will be required to pass 100 Year 3 credits in order to be eligible for the award of an Honours Degree made up as follows:

Pass LUBS3117 (20 credits) AND 40 credits of either LUBS3317 OR LUBS3671, AND 40 credits of additional modules which can comprise of compulsory, optional or discovery modules.
