On completion of the year, International Placement students should have provided evidence of having:
- increased their competence in experimental design, methodology, data handling and presentation;
- broadened their knowledge in specific areas of the natural sciences and/or related subject(s);
- a knowledge of the culture, institutions and working practices of another country;
- acquired language skills in countries where the medium of academic instruction is not English.
