The compulsory semester one module ‘Exploring Digital Texts, Cultures and Creativity’ provides a foundation for the Subject Specific and Skills Learning Outcomes. The module’s problem-solving collaborative format develops students’ knowledge and skills, with the summative reflection promoting a critical and reflective engagement with the subject area and their own capabilities, supporting them as they progress to the second half of the course. Knowledge and skills are developed further through the compulsory Research Project module (60 credits), which promotes skills in research, project design, communication and argumentation, alongside the realisation of subject specific skills in creative and/or critical work. Assessment formats are diverse across the optional modules on the programme, and will support the students’ knowledge and skills development whilst aligning with the subject-specific learning objectives of the modules.
