1. Demonstrate a familiarity with fundamental, scientific, clinical and technical concepts related to medical ultrasound
2. Demonstrate practical competencies and techniques (including an awareness of other disciplines) which are required to undertake routine medical ultrasound examinations in adult service users;

• be able to communicate the results of their work;

Achievement will be assessed by a variety of methods in accordance with the learning outcomes of the modules specified for the year/programme and will include:

2. work that covers a restricted area of sonography;
3. demonstrating emerging abilities, skills and competencies within sonography practice.
