Learning outcomes

1. Use a range of ideas in response to creative challenges in Fashion Design Innovation and its related material/digital practices. 
2. Apply skills and knowledge to create outcomes in Fashion Design Innovation and its related material/digital practices in response to project briefs.
3. Express concepts, arguments, and outcomes in a variety of forms informed by theories and practices in the Fashion and Textiles field.
4. Identify relevant research resources to begin to address Fashion Design Innovation challenges.

Assessment

Assessment is aligned to the learning outcomes of each module, so students will be assessed through a variety of methods dependent on the module and the level of the programme. These may include visual 2D and 3D creative responses such as portfolios of research, design development, experimental samples and final designs or artefacts; or text and image, blogs, short videos, presentations, and more traditional formats such as essays, reports and occasional exams. In year 1 assessments focus on the student’s understanding and acquisition of new knowledge and practical, digital, academic and professional skills.
