By the end of Year 4, you will be able to:
1. Communicate fluently and appropriately, maintaining a high degree of grammatical accuracy, in Spanish and Portuguese (between C1 and C2 Levels of the CEFR).
2. Identify, use and reflect on complex linguistic structures and different registers in Spanish and Portuguese.
3. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and an ability to see the world’s societies and cultures from multiple perspectives.
4. Engage with multiple genres to support effective work and functioning in other countries.
5. Show a broad understanding and cultural awareness of the Spanish and Portuguese- speaking countries as multicultural societies.

Competence Standards

Achievement will be assessed by a variety of methods in accordance with the learning outcomes of the modules specified for the year/programme. These may include an extended research project, essays, individual and group presentations, creative writing exercises, portfolio, podcasts, reflective logs and exams.
