On completion of the year, Industrial Placement learners should have:
1. Completed a period of practice in a professional environment relevant to biology, with the potential to specialise in the genetics sector if available.
2. Developed work-place competencies though the application of knowledge and learning gained in their academic training in a professional working environment.
3. Demonstrated the competencies and professional behaviours required for graduate employment within or beyond the biology, and genetics sector.
4. Communicated the outputs and outcomes of this period of practice.
Competencies
Learners will have the opportunity to develop competencies and professional behaviours required for graduate employment within or beyond the biology and genetics sector.
Industrial Placements will be assessed on a Pass/Fail basis. Learners will be required to:
1. Create written output(s) that demonstrate achievement of their learning outcomes.
2. Critically appraise workplace and other competencies developed during the period of practice.
