On completion of the year students should have provided evidence of being able to:
- identify and apply for jobs that are relevant to their degree programme and which are appropriate to their own abilities, achievements and aspirations; and
- present their skills and knowledge effectively to prospective employers.
Students will have had the opportunity to develop and practise:
- communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with work colleagues;
- the management of tasks and the application of initiative to the solution of work problems;
- the application of knowledge, including knowledge gained from their degree programme, in the workplace;
- reflection on own learning outcomes; and
- self management and development.
Achievement will be assessed (on a Pass/Fail basis) by written reports and a portfolio of evidence that will reflect upon and demonstrate skills acquisition and development, based upon 9-12 months employment.
