Year 3

Learning outcomes

On completion of the year, International Placement students should have provided evidence of having:
- increased their competence in experimental design, methodology, data handling and presentation;
- broadened their knowledge in specific areas and/or related subject(s);
- a knowledge of the culture, institutions and working practices of another country;
- acquired language skills in countries where the medium of academic instruction is not English.

Assessment

International placements are assessed according to the methods and criteria applied by the host institution to its own students. Marks for component courses of the placement will be translated to the Leeds scale, using scales agreed between the two institutions involved in the placement, to arrive at an overall Pass/Fail for BIOL9001 or BIOL9002.
