The Environmental Science Practice module is assessed through a guided field investigation report and a written assessment of an environmental problem and its possible solutions in a societal context. The Environmental Science Research Project is written up as a either a draft peer-reviewed journal article or a paired technical report plus policy brief. The Scientific Quality and Discourse module is assessed through: (1) 3 pieces of scientific writing for different audiences, (2) a research proposal, which assess students’ ability to read and critically evaluate existing literature, and (3) an oral presentation. Assessments for optional modules is diverse but includes mini-research projects presented in report format and OTLAs and exams to test subject-specific knowledge.
