On completion of the year students should have provided evidence of being able to:
- apply the critical and analytical skills developed as part of their pursuit of English studies in a non-academic environment;
- reflect upon their progress, both personally and professionally, in a cogent, judicious and interrogative manner;
- reflect upon the ways in which their work placement has enhanced their academic engagement with English literature and language materials;
- communicate their ideas clearly in both written and verbal formats;
- evaluate commercial situations and make decisions in a commercial context;
- appreciate the dynamic relationship between the professional world and the Arts;
- understand the demands and challenges of professionalism.
