Programme specification
This part time course builds on the knowledge and use of theory and practice in Systemic Family Therapy achieved on the foundation level courses. It concentrates on the development of therapeutic skills with families, couples and individuals and focuses on the application of systemic theory and practice in participants' work contexts. The training programme includes lectures, workshops, small group work, practice exercises and role play. Course members are expected to undertake 60 hours of systemic practice in their current professional setting and to present case material for consultation.
The course is accredited by Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice and successful completion of the course meets the training requirement for application to the MSc in Family Therapy
