Programme specification
This programme is designed to develop the language skills, knowledge and understanding required for postgraduate study in the disciplines of Education and Linguistics. You will study subject-specific content to help you develop your academic language, literacies and skills to a level that will enable you to communicate competently and confidently on your chosen postgraduate programme.
The Language for Education and Linguistics 6-week pre-sessional programme has been developed in collaboration with academics from the School of Education. Language learning is integrated and built around key content areas, allowing you to develop a deeper understanding of how knowledge is communicated in your own subject area.
This programme is for students who do not meet the English language requirements for their chosen postgraduate programme, as well as those who wish to gain a better understanding of the academic language and literacy practices in their area of study.
