Programme specification
This programme is designed to develop the language skills, knowledge and understanding required for postgraduate study in the disciplines of Business. You will study subject specific content to help you develop your academic language and literacy skills to a level that will enable you to communicate competently and confidently on their chosen postgraduate programme.
The programme is comprised of two modules.
The first 4-week module introduces you to the culture and context of postgraduate academic life in the broad fields of Business studies in a UK university context. You start to develop your ability to plan and organise academic work and to communicate with others in an academic context.
The subsequent 6-week module has been developed in collaboration with academics from the Leeds University Business School. This allows language learning to be integrated and built around key content areas, and to develop a deeper understanding of how knowledge is communicated in their own subject area.
