Entry requirements

A good quality bachelors degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in a subject other than business and management.

Programme specification

The MSc Management will provide students with a critical understanding of a broad range of business functions, activities and contemporary management issues.

Hence our graduates will
PA 1 Be creative and critical in identifying, evaluating and using advanced research, concepts, tools, and techniques from management disciplines

PA 2 Be effective problem solvers working individually (involving self-directed research) and with others to analyse and develop appropriate solutions to complex management problems and challenges

PA 3 Have developed their personal professional skills in those areas that will allow them to quickly function effectively as practising managers in a contemporary business setting

PA 4 Develop learning and self analysis skills as the basis for their ongoing personal development on their graduation from the course

PA 5 Be ethical and responsible in practice, drawing on effective appreciation and analysis of environmental and sustainability issues, as well as appreciation of the effects of globalisation, internationalisation and cultural difference

Students are eligible for the award if they pass the 150 credits of modules (including any pass for progression modules) and achieve an overall average mark of 50 or above, calculated across the 180 credits of modules.

Optional Modules

Students will be required to select ONE of the following pathways. Students will study two modules from a single pathway; 15 credits in semester 1, and 15 credits in semester 2, for a total of 30 optional credits. Transfer between pathways is not permitted beyond week 2 of semester 1.
