Programme specification

The information on this page is accurate for students entering the programme in 2023/2024 or before. For students entering the programme from September 2024 or after, you can find the details of your programme: MA Political Communication (Part-Time) (For students entering from September 2024onwards)

The MA in Political Communication pursues an interdisciplinary and comparative approach, including not only the experience of established democracies like Britain, Western Europe and the US, but also the particular problems of political communication in emerging democracies and the developing world. Particular attention is paid to innovatory forms of political communication and students will be expected to apply these in the design of a political campaign.

The MA in Political Communication provides cutting-edge competencies for a career in political public relations, political journalism and related fields. It is also an ideal foundation course for students who want to pursue an academic career in political communication and related subjects.
