This module will develop advanced skills in speaking, writing, reading and listening in Portuguese. Both the Portuguese and Brazilian variants of the language are covered. Specific skills covered include written composition, oral presentations, translation into and out of Portuguese, and the preparation of summaries of longer texts written in Portuguese.
To consolidate skills in written and oral Portuguese acquired during levels 1 and 2 and during the term or year abroad. Students will further develop their skills in translation, summarizing, essay writing, complex letter writing, and oral presentation.
Upon completion of this module students will be able to express themselves fluently and accurately in both Portuguese and English.
Language classes will concentrate on translation, summarizing, essay writing and complex letter writing skills. Oral classes will concentrate on the preparation, presentation and discussion of a range of topics of contemporary interest.

- continuous summative assessment (assessed oral presentation, grammar test and unseen translation);
