Module summary

The module aims to consolidate the grammar and vocabulary skills learned in the level 1 module SPPO1101, and to introduce more complex constructions and a broader range of lexical knowledge. During the course of the module material from a variety of sources will be used in order to revise difficult structures, and to provide new vocabulary through the medium of varied oral, written and reading exercises. Students wishing to take this module should have passed SPPO1101 in Level 1. Objectives

To consolidate the knowledge of Spanish grammar and vocabulary skills taught in Level 1. To introduce more complex constructions and a broader range of lexical knowledge. Upon completion of this module students will be able to express themselves fluently and accurately in both Spanish and English.

Syllabus

Students will follow a published module book. The programme will be based on language functions. Knowledge of basic grammatical constructions will be consolidated, and proficiency in performing language functions extended through the study of more complex grammatical features. Students will spend half their classes practising oral skills with native speakers.
