This module aims to provide in depth coverage of key concepts in developmental psychology, and will be taught by a team of experts in this field. Students will continue to develop their knowledge of this discipline with particular emphasis on the research expertise of the module team.
The module aims to provide students with a broad knowledge of research in developmental psychology, developing the students' critical understanding of key theoretical and empirical work in these areas.
By the end of the course, students should be able to:-
1. Demonstrate nuanced and integrated knowledge of key topics and approaches in Developmental Psychology.
2. Critically evaluate different theoretical perspectives across Developmental Psychology.
3. Identify and critically appraise research papers from Developmental Psychology in relation to their potential applications in real-world practical contexts.
4. Synthesise and communicate Developmental Psychology research findings for both academic and non-academic audiences.
On successful completion of the module students will have demonstrated the following skills learning outcomes:
1) Work ready: students will have demonstrated the ability to write in an executive style for a targeted professional audience.
2) Enterprise: students will have demonstrated the ability to create practical recommendation based on appraisal of research evidence.

Interactive task-based workshop (week 5) and online academic tutorials (week 6), which scaffold completion of the Evidence Brief assignment – tutors provide model answers and verbal feedback on tasks.
