Module summary
This module consists of a fortnightly tutorial during which you can discuss the material from your lectures in a small group setting with your personal tutor. It provides a forum for you to raise any queries about the content from your lectures and to discuss effective problem solving strategies. This module will also support your personal development and academic journey during the first year.
Objectives
This module gives you the chance to discuss the material from your other modules, and to solve related problems, in a small-group setting. This module will also support your personal development and academic journey during the first year.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the module students will have demonstrated the following learning outcomes:
1- Solve a variety of technical problems drawn from the course syllabus and discuss the problems and their solutions in a small group situation.
2- Plan and reflect on own personal and academic development
3- Understand what is meant by academic integrity in university work, why it is important and the consequences for not upholding it.
4- Demonstrate that they have started to consider career options and how to develop employability
