Module summary

Advanced finance is a capstone financial theory module building on the knowledge developed in levels one and two.

Objectives

This module aims to provide students with an advanced understanding of financial and investment theory.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this module students will be able to:
- Explain the essential principles of advanced finance and investment
- Critically evaluate topical developments in advanced finance using appropriate analytical tools and discuss some of the more challenging and contentious issues in the discipline

- Apply mathematical and statistical skills to problem solving scenarios
- Apply knowledge of current theory and appropriate analytical tools to solve complex financial problems
