Module summary

This is a final year module that allows student to apply their learning in a discursive and interactive manner. It helps students to develop a critical awareness and understanding of key enterprise and entrepreneurship topics.

Objectives

This module explores cutting edge topics and practices in the Enterprise and Entrepreneurship field. It is suitable for final year students who wish to consider entrepreneurship through a critical and discursive lens. It is taught through an interactive workshop block every week.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this module students will be able to:
1. Critically analyse key aspects of current enterprise and entrepreneurship topics or practices
2. Assess and explain the role of different types of entrepreneurship in critical global issues
3. Investigate how entrepreneurial theories in current scholarship might be applied to evaluate opportunities and challenges for entrepreneurs and their enterprises

Skills outcomes

Upon completion of this module, students will be able to:

- Apply critical thinking and critical awareness to different views on entrepreneurial contexts
- Development of understanding of commercial (business/customer) awareness in different entrepreneurial contexts, problem solving, team working and communication skills via verbal presentation and group interactions.

- To apply learning from this module to a case example and analyse in a discursive manner
