Objectives

On completion of this module, students will be able to:
- understand the relationship between organisational behaviour and management practice
- critically analyse competing theoretical perspectives in organisational behaviour
- apply team working, communication and written skills to the field of organisational behaviour
- comprehend and analyse bodies of academic literature.

Syllabus

The module provides an introduction to the key concepts, theories and research in the field of Organisational Behaviour, and demonstrates their practical relevance for management.

This involves an examination of:
- the evolution of the discipline and its methodologies;
- individual attitudes, behaviour and motivation;
- group dynamics and leadership; and organisational structure, culture and change.

This is all presented in the context of increasing globalisation and workforce diversity.

Opportunities for Formative Feedback
