Strategy is vital for businesses, shaping their direction and relationships with the internal and external environment. The effective implementation and alignment of corporate strategy to the overall context significantly impact a firm's performance. This module emphasizes understanding the importance of strategy in a global context, covering information, analyses, organizational processes, and skills needed for strategic decision-making. It also develops confidence in digital skills through online research, assignment preparation, and interactive engagement with peers.
The aim of this module is to introduce students to the main concepts and processes in strategic management.
The objectives of this module are to enable you to:
1. To introduce key theoretical concepts, tools and frameworks useful for analysing the external and internal environment of the firm.
2. To enable students to develop strategic awareness as well as ability to evaluate applicable managerial decisions and actions.
On successful completion of the module students will have demonstrated the following learning outcomes relevant to the subject:
1. Analyse the internal and external forces impacting organisational strategies.
2. Evaluate the resources, capabilities, and constraints of an organisation when developing sustainable strategies.
3. Apply relevant strategic tools and techniques within an organisational context.
4. Critically analyse contemporary issues relating to the implementation of organisational strategies.

On successful completion of the module students will have demonstrated the following skills learning outcomes:
