This module enables you to apply your prior learning of theory, policy, issues and debates in learning and teaching and SEND to the development of creative and innovative practice. You will have the opportunity to reflect on and critically analyse the development of creativity and innovation within your professional setting.
The objectives of the module are to:
1. Develop an understanding of creativity and innovation as theoretical concepts
2. Relate theory, policy, issues and debates to creative and innovative practice within a professional context.
3 Reflect on and apply creativity and innovation within the workplace.
4. Develop an understanding of creative and innovative professional practice in context, including working with different stakeholders.
5. Further develop professional identity and profile within own context with a particular focus on creativity and innovation.
On successful completion of the module, students will have demonstrated the following learning outcomes relevant to the subject:
1. Define and critically analyse theoretical concepts of creativity and innovation
2. Identify and evaluate a range of creative and innovative practices in professional contexts.
3. Identify and apply skills and theoretical knowledge needed for creative and innovative professional practice within own context.
4. Analyse the impact of interpersonal dynamics on innovation in professional practice.
5. Evaluate own contribution to innovation in the organisation.
6. Further develop digital professional profile with a particular focus on creativity and innovation.
Skills Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of the module, students will have demonstrated the following skills learning outcomes:
1. Creativity; generate ideas and resources which demonstrate originality and imaginative thinking. (Work Ready)
2. Applying creativity and innovation; Develop and act on creative and purposeful ideas. (Enterprise Skills)
3. Prioritize, organize and manage the resources you have and need. (Enterprise Skills)
4. Reflection; recognise and express knowledge and understanding and how it relates to personal experience of creativity and innovation and demonstrate learning and growth from the experience (Academic).
5. Digital creation, problem solving and innovation; Use digital technology and techniques to create digital items (such as powerpoint presentations and learning resources), and show willingness to engage with new practices and perspectives to solve problems, make decisions and answer questions.(Digital).

There will be ongoing monitoring of student progress throughout the module and tutors will be available via email and TEAMS. There will also be tutorials to monitor progress and formative feedback on drafts.

The portfolio will consist of a reflective blog, focusing on identifying and developing creativity and innovation in professional context/s and a practice observation focusing on creativity and innovation in the workplace.
