This module will enable you to identify, develop and reflect upon your academic, professional and digital skills within the context of your programme of study. You will develop digital skills and confidence in engaging with different digital platforms. You will be provided with opportunities to share understandings, perspectives and experiences of different disciplinary frameworks with those who have different professional backgrounds.
This module extends from the year one LLLC1460 Your Development: Introduction module, progressing you to the intermediate level. The module will enhance your academic, professional and digital literacies; underpinning and informing your subject specific module work and wider professional development within your disciplinary contexts.
During the seminar and workshops there will opportunities for individual and group work to practice, refine and share strategies for reflective and confident approaches to learning. As you are now working at this intermediate level of study, you will also be encouraged and supported to be more proactive and demonstrate independence in your studies and lifelong learning.
On successful completion of the module students will have demonstrated the following learning outcomes relevant to the subject:
1. Demonstrate academic, digital, and professional skills to target audiences.
2: Develop effective plans for academic and professional development, using research and reflection.

1. Reflective writing: the ability to consider personal, professional and academic learning and growth.
2. Critical thinking: the ability to analyse sources and digital tools/platforms to consider their relevance and quality.
3. Digital communication, collaboration, and participation: the ability to communicate constructively and professionally through digital tools.
4. Academic writing: the ability to write in a clear, concise, focused and structured manner that is supported by relevant evidence and referenced appropriately.

The portfolio will consist of a number of tasks focusing on academic, professional and digital topics and themes which are appropriate to the context of each programme. The tasks will allow you to draw upon your individual academic and work-related experiences and to develop your academic, professional and digital skills.
