Students will develop storyboards (20 hours), animated (70 hours) and interactive (70 hours) artefacts in their private study time.
The module leader will hold regular office hours to give students opportunity to check their understanding on a one on one basis. The practical sessions will also be interactive, to allow students to receive formative feedback on their developing summative projects. This includes feedback critique sessions for the formative assessment: the storyboard posters. These are a vital part of the planning process for the animated and interactive pieces that the students will create at the end of the module.
| Assessment type | Notes | % of formal assessment |
|---|---|---|
| Poster Presentation | Two storyboards, one relating to each of the two projects | |
| Project | Interactive piece | 60 |
| Project | Animated Piece | 40 |
| Total percentage (Assessment Coursework) | 100 | |
Resit instructions: In the case that a student fails to produce a storyboard/animation or that failure in the storyboard/animation element produces a fail in the overall mark, the student must complete the storyboard/ animation to a standard that meets the basic assessment criteria.
