Applicants will normally possess a good honours degree (2.1 and above) in health science from a recognised higher education institution or certified evidence of an ability to study at level 5 (Master’s). A minimum of 1 years experience in a healthcare environment is required.

On completion of this module, students should be able to:
- evaluate clinical assessment data;
- demonstrate clinical thinking in the demonstration of diagnostic reasoning;
- construct a patient-centred plan of care for clinical condition including a multidisciplinary approach;
- explain diagnostic and treatment conclusions;
- review and critically evaluate patient management plans;
- critically analyse and evaluate current evidence for the management of patient’s conditions.
On completion the student will be able to:
- apply assessment of patient conditions and consider appropriate diagnosis for treatment;
- critically analyse and apply clinical knowledge and evidence for practice;
- formulate suitable care management packages for patients;
- critically evaluate the role and function of the multi-disciplinary team with respect to management of the patient.
