Module summary

This module provides students with the opportunity to gain fundamental knowledge, methods and techniques of using data in management research to facilitate managerial decisions. From this module students will learn what data can be used in management research; how to analyse the data quantitatively; how to make decisions based on data analysis results.

Objectives

The role of this module is to inform students in state-of-the-art methods and techniques for contemporary fashion management.
Through this module students will gain a broad understanding of contemporary statistical skills, relevant to global fashion business and applicable to digital fashion marketing and management.

Students will have the opportunity of learning:
* How to choose data sources and analytical approaches in management research;
* How to analyse the data quantitatively;
* How to make management decisions based on the data analysis results.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this module, students will have provided subject specific evidence of being able to:
1. Identify, evaluate and compare multiple sources of data in management research.
2. Develop research questions and hypotheses through the assessment of management opportunity in the fashion industry
3. Choose appropriate data sources to use through the assessment of management opportunity, conduct the related quantitative analysis and interpreting the results
